Sarah graduated from Utah State University with a Liberal Arts degree. She is working towards attaining her Special Education Licensure. Before becoming a Montessori teacher, Sarah was an advanced therapeutic riding instructor certified through PATH International and managed her own therapeutic riding program in Virginia and the equestrian program at The National Ability Center in Park City, UT. Sarah has taught in Montessori classrooms at the toddler, early childhood, lower elementary and upper elementary levels.
Previously employed at Elizabeth Academy for six years, Sarah is very excited to be returning and looking forward to reconnecting with the wonderful students, families and staff at Elizabeth Academy.
After leaving Elizabeth Academy, Sarah worked as a paraprofessional at Washington Elementary in Salt Lake City, teaching students in Kindergarten through sixth grade.
Most recently, Sarah was able to fulfill a lifelong dream of teaching place and project based education abroad at The Field School of Hvar. For six months, she lived with her family on the small island of Hvar, off the coast of Croatia.
Sarah loves art, history, trying to speak other languages, horseback riding, sailing, poetry, live music, eating delicious food, almost any kind of outdoor adventure and traveling with and without her family. Her three children all attended Elizabeth Academy.
