Dani holds a Bachelor’s degree in School Age Child and Adolescent Development and Special Education from San Francisco State University. She began her career teaching in both general education and special education schools in Denmark, an experience that deepened her love for Scandinavian pedagogy and nature-based education.
Back in the U.S., Dani worked with a range of diverse needs among both children and adults at a day recreation and rehabilitation center in San Francisco, including adults with severe traumatic, physical, and developmental disabilities. She then moved to Salt Lake City, where she worked as a Behavior Therapist providing ABA therapy to children and continued her education at the University of Utah. She has completed classes in Montessori education and has enriched Elizabeth Academy’s special education program for over 5 years.
Outside the classroom, Dani loves spending time with her son and husband, traveling, hiking, backpacking, biking, cooking, and playing volleyball.
