Micah Daniels

Building Substitute Teacher

Micah is currently working on her Master of Education degree at the University of Utah. She earned her Bachelor of Arts and graduated in 2018 from Dartmouth College. Micah has worked in educational settings since she was in high school, knowing that this was her passion early on in life. Because of this, Micah has experience in many capacities including being a paraprofessional, behavioral interventionist, childcare teacher’s assistant, summer school site coordinator and teacher, college counselor, and substitute teacher. As a general education teacher for the last six years, Micah has served on School Leadership Teams, coached 5th/6th Grade Girls’ Basketball and Cross Country, facilitated and coordinated culturally relevant SWPBIS models, and taught all general education subjects. Her favorites are Math and Science. In the classroom, Micah has continually advocated for and implemented culturally relevant, trauma informed practices and project-based learning to provide students with their best learning opportunities.

Outside of work and school, Micah enjoys reading, going for a run or hike, and spending time at the public library. Although she’s not done so yet, Micah would love to learn how to play the piano, attend Western social dances/lessons, join a basketball league, and write a novel.
