Bailey is a board-certified and state-certified music therapist who is passionate about using music to support students’ growth, development, communication, and overall well-being. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Music Therapy and Health Psychology from Texas Woman’s University in Denton, Texas. Her background in both music therapy and psychology has shaped her holistic approach to understanding each individual’s unique strengths, needs, and goals. In 2024, Bailey completed her music therapy internship with OverlyMusical, LLC in Logan, Utah. During her internship, she quickly fell in love with Utah and decided to make it her home.
Bailey has specialized training in Neurologic Music Therapy and is a certified Neurologic Music Therapist (NMT). Throughout her career, she has had the opportunity to work with individuals across the lifespan, from newborns and school-aged children to older adults and individuals receiving hospice care. These experiences have given her a broad understanding of how music can be adapted to meet a variety of needs and goals. While Bailey has enjoyed working with many different populations, school-aged children have become her favorite. She loves getting to know each student as an individual, discovering their interests and strengths, and finding creative ways to incorporate music into their learning and development. Bailey believes music can be a powerful tool for connection, self-expression, skill development, and building confidence, and she is grateful for the opportunity to support the students, families, and educators at Elizabeth Academy.
Outside of music therapy, Bailey enjoys spending time outdoors, being creative, and making memories with her husband. She also loves discovering new sweet treats to bake and trying out new recipes. Whether she is making music, exploring the outdoors, or creating something new, Bailey enjoys finding opportunities to be creative and connect with the people around her.
