Lexie Hanks earned a bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from Southern Utah University; she co-taught at the early childhood level for a year at a Montessori school in Arizona. This is her 4th year at Elizabeth Academy. She speaks Spanish and taught at the high school level during Garfield’s final high school year. On top of the fulfilling role of teaching kids to read, she serves on the board of a local refugee-run non-profit goat farm and has 4 active sons that keep life full & inspiring. In her spare time, she likes to read, garden, run, practice yoga, play the violin, capture life via film photos, go camping and spend time on the Oregon coast.
