EA Enlightenment October 2025

This past month has been full! Our last Friday teacher work day had a different focus than many of our more standard work days. A normal work day is focused on full school or level specific training, then there is level and classroom time after. We have covered many topics, including behavioral management, special education strategies for the individual and whole group, Kagan strategies of grouping students by heterogeneous and homogenous metrics, literacy and numeracy support, and many others. We celebrated MayDay (May 1st) with our Founder’s Day celebration, which included a lively presentation of the May Pole dance. We hope you had a wonderful and restful vacation from school, especially after so much excitement in March! Last month we enjoyed a delightful presentation of our school play, The Wizard of Oz:Youth Edition. March winds whistle as the year winds down, ushering in our first performance in a whirlwind of year-end events. The Wizard of Oz is our school play this year and students from early childhood through high school have been reading the book together in classrooms, studying the time period in which it was written, and learning more about the fascinating life of the author, L.
