EA Enlightenment April 2026

Dear Families,
As we reflect on the month of April, we are filled with a deep sense of gratitude and appreciation. This time of year offers a meaningful opportunity to pause and recognize the strength of our school community, students, staff, and families alike, who continue to support and uplift one another in so many ways.
Spring break provided a welcome pause in our routines and a chance to rest and recharge. While we spent a week away from each other, it has been wonderful to return with renewed energy and focus as we move into the final stretch of the school year.
We also want to extend our sincere thanks for the incredible outpouring of support during Teacher Appreciation Week. Our staff felt truly valued with a week full of thoughtful food, generous gifts, and meaningful recognition. Your kindness made a lasting impact.
Throughout the month, our students have engaged in memorable learning experiences. Our upper elementary students participated in bike safety lessons, building important skills and confidence, and a visit from the Humane Society provided meaningful opportunities for learning and connection.
Behind the scenes, our leadership team has dedicated significant time to reviewing our school-wide strategic plan. This work has involved thoughtful reflection on where we’ve been, the progress we’ve made, and the areas where we can continue to grow. As we look to the future, we are committed to ensuring our plans align with our shared vision and continue to support the success and well-being of every student.
As we wrap up April, we look forward to our final Campus Conversation and the exciting release of our trout, an event our students have been eagerly anticipating. What an April it has been!
Thank you for being such an important part of our community. We are grateful for your ongoing partnership and look forward to finishing the school year strong, together.
Warm regards,
Nate and Jessica

Mission in Motion
End of Year Celebration & School Musical Spotlight
As we approach the close of another meaningful school year, we take a moment to reflect on the growth, creativity, and connection that have defined our journey together. This season has been filled with celebration, pride, and opportunities to showcase all that our students have learned.
This year, our school musical, Winnie the Pooh, beautifully captured the heart of our curriculum and served as a joyful culmination of the themes we explored throughout the year. Through storytelling, music, and performance, our students brought to life lessons that were woven into their daily learning experiences.
At its core, Winnie the Pooh is a story about friendship—the importance of caring for one another, celebrating differences, and working together. These ideas were central to our classrooms, where students practiced empathy, cooperation, and kindness in their interactions with peers.
The musical also reflected our studies of animals and their habitats. Students spent time learning about the natural world, exploring how animals live, adapt, and interact within their environments. Seeing these concepts come alive on stage deepened their understanding in a memorable and engaging way.
Another highlight of this production was the emphasis on peer mentorship. Older students supported younger performers, modeling leadership, encouragement, and responsibility. This collaboration strengthened our school community and provided valuable opportunities for students to learn from one another.
More than just a performance, Winnie the Pooh represented the integration of academic learning, social development, and creative expression. It was a celebration of how far our students have come and a testament to their hard work and enthusiasm.
We extend our heartfelt thanks to our dedicated teachers and staff for guiding students throughout the year, to our talented student performers for their enthusiasm and courage on stage, and to our wonderful director, Aimee Sill, whose vision and leadership brought this production to life.
We are incredibly proud of all our students and grateful to the entire Mission in Motion community for making this year so special. As we close out the year, we carry these meaningful experiences and lessons forward.
Thank you for being part of Mission in Motion!
