Vicki Malan - Lead Teacher
Vicki is the lead teacher in Lower Elementary at Elizabeth Academy. Prior to joining the Academy, she taught on the east coast, grades second through fifth. She completed her studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University graduating with a B.A. in Humanities and Masters in Education. During her undergraduate program she had the opportunity to study abroad in Europe, concentrating in Art History and English Literature. She is currently enrolled in Montessori training with MEPI. She is grateful for the learning experience she is gaining at the Academy. It has opened her eyes to a new method of teaching that personalizes an enriching experience for the learner. She enjoys working and learning with her students, parents and colleagues.

Ali Philipoom - Special Educator
Ali Philipoom is joining the Lower Elementary team as the Special Needs Educator. Ali taught dance lessons for three years to students with exceptionalities and also coached for the Special Olympics. These experiences changed her life. She graduated in the spring from the University of Utah with a degree in Special Education. Ali admires the inclusion that takes place at Elizabeth Academy. The more she learns about the Montessori philosophy, the more she embraces it. She looks forward to meeting your children, watching them grow, and learning along with them.

Ashley Oliver - Assistant
Ashley Oliver is joining the Lower Elementary team as a facilitator. She is moving up from Early Childhood to help assist children that need a bridge from the Early Childhood materials to the Elementary. She recently completed the Para-Professional training and began Early Childhood Montessori training this summer and will continue throughout the school year. She loves the Montessori philosophy and is looking forward to applying it in the classroom. Ashley attended UVU in 2009-2010 with a concentration in Elementary Education.

Lexie Walz - Assistant
Lexie Walz is joining the Lower Elementary team this year as a facilitator. She will assist Miss Ali with Special Education. This is her second year at Elizabeth Academy and she is so excited to spend another year with your children. Lexie has always had a love for children and enjoys every minute with them.
