Model School for Montessori Inclusion

At Elizabeth Academy, children with special needs are included in the classroom with typical and gifted children in a way that is reflective of the population at large (15%). We have certified Montessori teachers and teachers with knowledge and experience working with children with special needs in every classroom. We also have a team of highly qualified special educators on staff who oversee our classrooms to ensure that the needs of all children are met. The combined training and experience of our Montessori and Special Education teaching teams is extremely effective in supporting the academic, social, emotional, spiritual, and creative needs of each child. 

Elizabeth Academy is a private non-profit Montessori lab school for inclusion. Quality teacher training and on-going professional development ensures a richly inspired curriculum. Educational practitioners outside the school are encouraged to observe and conduct research so that our innovative inclusive techniques can be implemented more broadly.
