Elizabeth Academy is an authentic Montessori school with an emphasis on inclusion.  Our program provides an enriching education that creatively motivates children to strive for the art of academic excellence.  We focus on what Maria Montessori called the “absorbent mind” of early childhood, ages 3-6 and we are growing as our children do to include the higher levels of learning through the elementary years with richly academic programs.  We have also responded to the needs of very early childhood and younger developmentally delayed children with our Emerging/Early Childhood class.  The Montessori method had its earliest roots in special education, which combines naturally with her philosophy stressing the importance of respect and responding to each child as an individual.

We have low teacher-to-student ratios and our classrooms are uniquely equipped to meet the special needs of each child and ensure learning at an individualized accelerated pace with hands-on materials which focus on each child’s personal learning style.  Teachers and administrators at Elizabeth Academy facilitate and create learning experiences, which are carefully developed to match the students’ own interests and developmental needs and stimulate the intrinsic desire for accomplishment.
